Tahaffuz-e-Khatm-e-Nabowat an Academic and Research Review

Abstract

The Almighty Allah has sent the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to this world as the Chief Leader of all the Prophets and also His last Messenger. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) brought the last 'Sharia'. He is the bearer of the last 'Deen' and Almighty has completed it through him (PBUH). Now the Umma does not need any new 'Deen' or new 'Shariah'۔

The belief in the Last Prophet hood is the fundamental principle of the faith and is its integral part from the times of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Throughout the history of last 1400 years, false prophets and imposters continued to surface in various parts of the world creating mischiefs. Such one mischief appeared in the subcontinent under the aegis of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani. He claimed his own prophet hood, and his followers still believe in his false prophet hood denying the concept of the last prophet hood of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Ever since his inception, the Ulema of the subcontinent always struggled academically and practically on all fronts. Ultimately, they succeeded in getting the Qadiani claim declared as false and heresy, and its believers as non-Muslims, in the constitution of Pakistan in 1973 with complete unanimity.
