Abstract

Urdu Language became most prominent in sub-continent due to Islamic Scholars, preachers, writers and reformers. They adopted it as a main tool their religious activities. They converted Islamic literature in Urdu from Arabic and Persian languages. After their arrival in this region, they engaged in it with fully devotion, translated Holy Quran & traditions of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and wrote millions books in all aspects of its literature & linguistics. Muslim rulers, scholars, preachers, debaters, leaders, Sufis and traders promoted Urdu as their heritage from 17th century till now and developed it in all types of literature like poetry, drama, novel, history, biographies and stories etc. All types of poetry and prose had been written in Urdu language by Muslim scholars and Sufis such as Moulana Altaf Hussian Haali, Mufti Muhammad Shafi, Moulana Ahmed Raza Khan, Abu al ahla Moudodi, moulvi Abdul Haq, Mufti Taqi Usmani, Moulana Israr Ahmed, Abdul Salam bhatvi,Abdul Hakeem Sharaf Qadri and Alama Mohsin Najfi. Today Urdu language is popular in all over the world and accepted as 3rd biggest language because of Muslim’s love and efforts.
